Eunan Quinn, the creator and founder of Excel Sports, is an expert in sport, health, coaching and sporting event participation. A highly qualified physical therapist treating people with chronic pain for over 20 years. He holds an honours degree in Psychology, a Masters in Sports and Exercise Psychology, and an IAAF level 4 Endurance coaching award.
An athlete from a young age with the local Finn Valley Athletic club he went on to win a number of sporting awards including the only Irish qualifier for Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii in 2002 and 2003, broke Irish record Ironman in 2006 and held the Donegal record for Ironman Triathlon for 14 years. Having worked with world class sports players, athletes and dancers during his time in Boston, he has continued to coach and work in the sports coaching industry here in Ireland. Part of a team working with Olympic marathon qualifier Caitriona Jennings, and recently coached Ironman World Champions Hawaii qualifier 2018 Anne Marie Brogan.
Heavily involved in his community it was here that he saw a need to create sporting event challenges in the county, to cater for all levels of ability, encouraging active lifestyle in the community for the local and visitor alike.
